I tried to do it with Toyota and got absolutely nowhere. I talked to dealer after dealer, and they all told me that they couldn't customize a vehicle order. I also couldn't do it on Toyota.com - after I configured a vehicle, all i

a note: I'd recommend using tee instead of dd for that job, or add iflag=fullblock if your dd supports it. The thing is that dd issues a read() for each block, but is doesn't actually care how many bytes it gets back in response (

A note here: if you're using GNU dd, you can also use iflag=count_bytes and then set the block-size to whatever you want. That'll give you the best of both worlds.

It's got really cool metaprogramming features too, if you like those. Kind of like C++ consteval/constexpr but on steroids. Language BDFL doesn't recommend using it in prod yet, but I've really enjoyed a couple of hobby

Sparkfun doesn't sell Chromebooks, and has no special affiliation with Google. They run a store and sell things to customers that want them. They're also really cool folks - I've met a few of them over the years. No store can

A thermal noise-generator is fine from a physics perspective. I think that people maybe can't verify what's actually on the die. How much do we trust what we're told about the circuit? Does its interface talk to that noise-so

Tesla's FSD is really far from actually being full self-driving. There's a lot of computer required to get from 85% perfect to 99%. Uber and Cruise also both have lidar which is spendy.

TBH that kind of sounds like a notion that would have been held by somebody with a lot of leisure time. I can't imagine that your average dairy farmer would have been particularly good at swords, math, or poetry.

That hasn't been my experience at all. I use Autotools on all of my personal projects that are C or C++, and I deal with all kinds of build systems in my day-job doing embedded Linux work. Autotools goes to extreme lengths to maintain
