I think that ship has sailed, Europeans see what SV has become and are thankful that they failed in replicating the model.

I have been in a few situations where I could have found bugs, because I was exploring deep behavior, but the lack of legible documentation on the expected behavior made me back off. I have no clue on what’s expected or not, the man pages a

that's an interesting twist of thing. What about making it explicit, like: "I can answer the company chat quickly, but I'm painting a mountain with my friend Bob right now". I guess it can only go so far because some soc

I'd suggest we be careful with the vocabulary, there exist 2 kind of stadiums: the stadium for spectacle made for filming sport related TV shows; and the stadium for the local citizens where normal people have access to sport facilitie

no language has a good support for IEEE754. The only doable thing is using some weird macros in C/C++, but the rest of the languages ignore the issue altogether. And LLVM too.

I am lost, it’s clearly a joke (the part about the kids too young to grasp a cigarette), but I don’t find the context for the joke. It can’t really have been an actual in depth scientific joke since there is no actual vo2max of smokers.

I don’t think you can move a lot of air silently, the turbulent layer between the flow and the still air produces noise. This is only silent because of size. Maybe less noisy than a fan or prop, but not silent.

I think there is an issue of power/money. If you have power or money you can call yourself a generalist and hire the experts in the various fields you want to assemble. For the generalist not in a position of power, the dynamic is real
