I think there is still an argument to be made that a it's worth it for a lot of companies (in particular in the beginning). Because your pokemon game or your scooter company going offline is not really really a big deal. And then you r

Clovis baptism? You have to understand that France has some other traits that are way more progressive than in the US: crossing the street is not a crime, you won't be arrested for drinking in the street, women work more than in the US

I worked at this aerospace corporation, and I was wondering why in such a male skewed environment, the entire team of PCB prototype soldering was female. They were all ex textile workers, re-trained for electronics.

https://theamphour.com/430-shahriar-discusses-5g/ I am a bit confused, according to the preceding link, 5G can’t be at all used like 4G, in particular it can’t be used from a base station to a mobile phone. Can someone

I would like a (pseudo-)mode that color code the cells depending on the format they are in. And tools to easily change said format (let’s call it type). And probably use text by default.

it's the link with money that I found interesting, $100 for the american units (I mean American book have problems in both system of units, aerospace, military and engineering for science tend to work in metric) and $30 for the SI unit

I bought a mechanical engineering book, and I found the rent seeking quite clever: the international version(this one was targeted for the Indian market) did not have American units, only SI.

Transitioning is quite interesting, you have to measure your old unit with the new system at a resolution never reached before so that you know you don’t invalidate a large collection of numbers everywhere in the world. Then, depending on y

I am still looking for a coping mechanism, because I'm not a people person, so recruiting a team and having other people focus for me doesn't feel like the right fit.

I would add an analogy: wing loading is an extremely important concept, and there is absolutely zero plane with a direct force reading on the wing spars.

it's a very important concept, but it's a far cry from having a (redundant) gage and introducing it into the scanning pattern. Air speed is generally a very good indicator of how far you're from stall, unless you're in t

The more I learn about the story and the more I realize the bureaucracy that is airplane flying. The boeing line is that they had to use the runaway trim checklist and that’s it. They missed the auto throttle item on the list so it’s their

Nope, they left out the angle of attack indicator which their pilots are not trained to use. They had no clue that they were leaving the disagree indicator with it and that this indicator was crucial for an MCAS that they didn’t know existe

So there a weird thing about angle of attack: the autopilot uses it, but civilian pilots don’t use it (they use airspeed and descent angle). It’s used in the military, and airlines who recruit a lot of military pilots tend to buy the angle
