Japan has a lot of stories like that. The urbanization is crazy, with literal half-empty towns, and people's homes left behind in the countryside. In case you are open to English narration, the creator behind the Abroad in Japan channe

I can recommend the Axis brand. Very user friendly while power user friendly as well, true local offerings. I personally bought mine used, it's an older model, and even then, it holds up really well.

I don't think I care about that, when exposing the story to millions of people, but I do care about the word usage. This is not detached from the reality at all. Media should report the horrible thing with the correct terminology, and

I think selling it wasn't mandatory, and the consequences of selling are predictable, so some of the blame rest with the original decision-makers as well. But I find hard to care after so many years, if I have to be honest, they just m

I share the same feelings, and I think that the way they phrased it is intentional. They are clearly capitalizing on the goodwill that is built around open source software over the years. In a "having the cake, and eating it too"

I was a huge fan of Winamp back in the day, but the way they handled the software completely soured me towards it. Winamp 3 was a clusterfuck, Winamp 5 was fine but felt like bloat, and then it was passed around like a hot potato, then aban

Title is "Winamp Legacy player source code is now open". The usage of the word "open" in conjunction "source code" alludes to the long established "open source code" phrase, which implies a set of lic

This is one of the things that Valve does very well. I even end up installing Steam on PCs that I run non-steam software on, because Proton is just that easy. I add the shortcut to Steam, choose my proton runtime (if that), click play, and

Business, yes, that was the word I was looking for, thanks! So the ISP could just limit the residential packages, limit the business packages to actual businesses, and that's all.

I'd think that companies use commercial grade internet, and normal people use residential internet. If so, then it would be easy to imagine that the ISP blocks some features for the residential subscriptions.

I am very thankful for the Proton effort, both for the product itself, and for the fact that the upgrades and modifications make it back to the community. Kudos for Valve for doing it this way.
