Can you please be more specific? What should an average Android user expect to see in those DNS logs?

Exactly this. In my recent experience PayPal is also absolutely inaccessible for a chargeback resolution. This was the reason I left booking.com, now I am considering to get rid of PayPal. In my opinion no serious transaction should ever be

What we observe right now is the beginning of AI tech wars. I hope it will stay cold and will boost new peaceful applications.

The main reason for me why YouTube is out of choice is too many Ads interruptions and absence of Portrait mode video support. Even Telegram supports Vertical videos - you can zoom into any horizontal video, and I can move that window so tha

Not just FB. It looks like a real exodus is happening now from WatsApp to Telegram, at least in EU. Instagram is their last bastion for now.

You are too optimistic for a man in a world ruled by populists and monopolies. And environment around you is changing. You still may enjoy it, will your children have that possibility?

Hopefully Epic Games with their antitrust lawsuits against Google and Apple will succeed and we'll see some positive changes. For now, the best everyone can do is to promote F-Droid. Many users never heard about YouTube without ads, so

F-Droid doesn't respect my system language. It shows me Apps descriptions in a language of my current country instead. And I don't see any language setting.

Is there any good alternative? I think the main problem now on Android is Google Store wall. There would be much more Open Source alternatives if Android users could use another App Store. I wish we have something like an audited Store of O

I saw some stories on r/IWantOut similar to what you said about a visa to come back, but about other countries. So it's not US only.

Why anything containing psychoactive drug is actually legal to sell to kids? There's a lot of reports how bad is caffeine to underdeveloped brain. And look at any developing nation: everyone is hooked to Coca-Cola.

Your example of monocrystalline silicon at (almost) 0 Kelvin has actually higher entropy than your example of saltwater.

    by novaRom 6y ago

Your reasoning is strange. Actually, higher entropy is what we may call "of lower complexity" requiring ever-shorter description length.

Once ARM is American it will escalate trade war with China. There's no way China can quickly create any competitive platform.

This acquisition is in US interests and can be supported by US government. They try to stop leaking silicone industry in general (famous CHIPS act), and block Huawei and its partners.

Same here. Even walking 20 minutes every morning is nice to start a day. Now working from home requires some discipline, and I compensate it with doing a spontaneous jogging during a day.

Global warming is more complex. For example, we have extremely cold summer with lowest night temperatures under 10°C even in July (average low of last years is at least 14°C).

Yes, but only few times. Still not clear how an initial mask has been produced? From file to mask - a kind of printer or a laser?

According to Wikipedia masks are only 4 times larger - it is still very tiny.
