I liked the article all the way to the point where the author reinvented the help menu, but now with AI.

This is not a new phenomenon; some thirty years ago I had moved from Europe to America only to be amused by my 12 year old punk friends ("Punk"...aka Green Day) putting on fake British accents.

Heaven forbid a doctor be able to share a link of a 3D visualization for a procedure so patients have a better understanding of the decisions they have to make. That'd be way too convenient!

Generating an app is one thing. Generating an app with a maintainable architecture and ongoing development over 5 to 10 years is another. AI will assist developers but never replace them.

It sounds like you'd be incredibly useful for the spirit of accessibility, but need to work on your knowledge of the rules of accessibility. When we build accessible applications at our company, we have to comply with every rule of &qu

Interesting article, thanks for that. One of my key takeaways is the iPod represented not one but multiple simultaneous tech revolutions. Consumer storage until then unseen, paired with material and interface design that companies hadn'

Lean into your strengths. You're more likely to invest in meaningful conversation with an individual as an introvert. How would someone taking the time to really talk and listen to you feel? Pretty good right? You'll likely have f

I'm not sure where an AI generated horse with not-quite-right-looking horseman factors into this, but I strongly suspect we'll call him Flood.

For me, it started with a few books. "Ego is the Enemy" by Ryan Holiday established a great baseline mindset to be in. "Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking when the Stakes are High" is the most applicable book. It e

Good grief, that's definitely the bigger WTF. Each of those engineering questions could be its own essay. What's even left to talk about if you answer all of those?

Do something that punishes you for turning it into work. I took up archery for a while (in NYC no less), and found that it required me to switch off before I could do it well.

What's funny is this is how Agile works in a functioning organization. You validate the idea first and quick, and only then iterate with new layers of complexity. Building something the "right" way before ever having seen the

Try "Into the Radius", it's far lower budget but has that same immersive wow factor through smart art choices and clever interactions with physics objects.

Most people only share their success and happiness on social media, which leads to a very warped version of reality which we compare ourselves to. It's intensely unhealthy to try and live up to the standards of a feed, be it Instagram,

I bailed on all social media some five years ago. The most shocking consequence was how interested I became in people when I saw them in person. I had questions about their lives, the careers, family, activities and more. I suddenly didn&#x

Clean a single plate. It's low commitment, low energy, and high reward. Your brain flips from dreading the task to craving more of that sweet serotonin, and suddenly the whole kitchen is sparkling.
