It's possible the author thought using "dagger" twice in two sentences sounded clunky.

This book looks interesting, but I feel a certain (juvenile?) aversion to the advice offered in the linked excerpt. I think copyright law is a plague on cultural production, and everything has been getting progressively worse since the deat

The article seems to gloss over that tomatoe plants look very similar to the closely related poisonous nightshade plants. See pics [1] and [2], could you definitively differentiate between these two plants in the wild? Now consider if you r

Same here, I'm fairly certain that's a thing [1]. Anecdotally, I've started turning off wifi/Bluetooth in the parking lot before entering a big box store like Walmart, and it seems like I get less ads for stuff in the ai

I agree with your general point, but this also appears to be an experimental, last-resort treatment. Doctors will hand out SSRIs like candy, but I highly doubt that happening for any kind of surgical intervention. I am not aware of anyone w

There is software like Spleeter [1] that can split songs into stems (seperate drums, vocals, rhythm, etc.) using ML. I imagine it would be possible to adapt it for this. Might even work as-is if you only needed to isolate people's voic
