I wrote a few free SaaS-like services that combined have over a million users. Sadly, due to the nature of them / the "niche" that they're in (LOTS of competition in this space...), monetization is incredibly hard so I d

Finding a job. I'm in that awkward stage between "finishing uni" and "finding a job" and I'm starting to get (overly?) anxious about it.

I use minikube locally for developing on, but so far I've not been able to get a production k8s cluster up. As I replied to the other poster, the last time I tried kubeadm, I was completely unable to get past setting up a cluster netwo

Somewhat off-topic, but as someone interested in k8s, why is it seemingly such a pain to set up in non-"cloud" environments? I know that Rancher exists - and I'm waiting for 2.0 to drop before migrating to Rancher-managed k8s

You can. Have many IPs that all "route" to the same machine. You get 65535 ports per IP, not per kernel or whatever. It's the reason why ex. hosting companies can give virtual servers on their dedicated hosts and not worry ab

Lack of completions outside of JS/PHP/CSS/HTML and linting outside of JS/CSS (both according to the website) is a non-starter for me.

I find the setup to be a bit of a pain: - Can't (easily?) use a Docker volume instead of mounting a directory from the host into the container - No real auth out of the box(?) - I get why it works like it does, but I don't really

Is there any real alternative to C9 (self-host or no, I don't really care) that isn't a part of AWS/GCE/<cloud provider here>? I've already tried C9 (hosted and self-hosted) and am not really a fan.

Syntax as well as just that it's a really weird way of thinking about things compared to languages like Java, Python, etc. Elixir seems to be helping some with this, so I guess we'll see.
