Which would be fine. Even if you covered the entire earth with 1 square millimeter solar panels, you could give each of them about 66 quadrilion IPv6 addresses.

Well "nobody" is a bit misnomer. It's still widely used in telco networks, transporting control messages to/from your mobile device within the core network, and in interconnects between carriers.

"right back" is rather misleading. When you burn up fossil fuel over a few centuries that it took many millions of years to produce, the ocean does not put it "right back" there.

It ruins the filesystem if you're in the middle of writing important metadata to the filesystem that can't be done atomically. This is not an issue for modern filesystems, but most USB drives are formatted with FAT, which has no j

You can look at the the other videos of Hans Rosling which might answer that. Whether it's a correlation and not a cause might still be up for debate, but the observation of that effect have been observed in virtually all places around

At least according to the linux documentation, network IO is NOT part of the load average, only processes waiting for disk IO and runnable processes.

Your TV dish is not transmitting. But the point is, that if some country decides the new internet via satellite to be illegal, it is _very_ easy for them to find people using it.

Probably. Then again anyone with a transmitting dish can be triangulated by the government body that doesn't like people doing that.

From what we can tell so far, life has only arisen once on earth - wouldn't that also be an indication that genesis is rather hard/rare ? If life could easily form, one would think it would do so many times here on earth.
