"perfectly fine" does not depend on the processor alone, it depends on the compiler. A compiler for x86 can assume dereferencing a NULL pointer is undefined behavior, and optimize your code in ways you perhaps didn't expect.

There are 2 separate, unrelated issues (but described in the same advisory from Juniper). One is they found code that shouldn't be there, allowing remoe ssh login to attackers. The other is weaknesses in Dual_EC.

Note that 2.0 still can be used with GTK. I'm a daily wireshark user and had to switch back to the GTK version - the Qt version is currently incredible buggy - at least on Windows.

A lot of drawing on linux already goes over a "file", a PF_UNIX socket from the application to the X server - with the added penalty of making an additional round trip to the kernel, whilst on Plan 9 you just go directly to the ke

Fair point. I believe you can use the Export-Clixml/Import-Clixml or ConvertTo-Xml/ConfertFrom-Xml for doing just that.

That sounds so little. Just having two 50W lightbulbs shining 24x7 would be slightly more than that in a year.

"go oracle" is right there with "go build" etc, an official tool that shouldn't change any more than the other tools that's part of the Go distribution.

The alternative is pretty much only online forums. Which imo. doesn't offer a lot of advantages, and most forum software is exceptionally bad (though yes, a few new and nicer ones are coming along)

How so - if the radar image is correct, the plane flew over the strip in Turkey twice, giving them quite a bit of time before and after the first pass to give warnings ?

Note that these buffers are not only relevant for unread data of the user space application, they also reflect the TCP window size - this means the sending side knows how much room the receiver has at all times , and can throw that much dat

Pretty much every router/modem people have at home does NAT, and does so for UDP, TCP, ICMP and some do GRE and that's it. And they're not getting updated to NAT any new protocol directly over IP that people come up with.

I'd like to see a breakdown of file types at e.g. imgur.com - I'm guessing more than 0% are bmp images, and there isn't a compelling reason for a browser to not be able to view those.
