Anyone else in this thread think that this blog post covers a painfully trivial calculation problem? What's next - someone's going to write a full blog post to explain to me how to perfectly toast my toast using these visual senso

In terms of privacy I see two categories of data on a network: (1) data that leaked/has been copied to other people and (2) data that hasn't yet leaked. The thing is you can never know with certainly when a piece of data has chang

I like how the name "Shuttle" implies that this is going to make your SSHing experience "take off", but anyone with an SSH config file is like: "You mean you weren't doing this years ago? Why do I need a UI to

I can only imagine someone trying to explain the logic on this one in some ad copy somewhere. "TSO" is the kind of name that requires its own FAQ entry just to explain, and even then it doesn't make sense.

I should also say that the requirements aren't an all-or-nothing deal. For every node we setup we'll need people to use the network, support it, talk about it, and help maintain it. So really, no one here should be discouraged if

The idea here would also be to reduce the cost of network access to near zero, or am I missing something about where the costs come from maintaining the network?

Any chance the administration of nodes for this kind of technology could be crowdsourced to the people in the neighborhood as well, giving not only access but useful knowledge and a learning experience? I know when I was young I didn't

Unlike the other link I saw about this, this one links directly to the article containing the list, rather than the reblog. Really internet - are we re-blogging lists at this point? WTF - some people just aren't trying anymore.
