Semi related, but have you found a way to get kindle highlights out of amazon? I've been using Readwise (and Reader) which have been great, but it's rather expensive. I'd love to be able to send an arbitrary article to Feedi

Hit up support and ask them to remove the lock screen ads, even if you didn't buy the "ad free" kindle support usually does it. It worked for me.

Looks like it moved to here https://extensions.htmx.org/ But this is weirdly hard to find on the new site as searching just opens a scoped google search. Probably would be good to setup redirects to the new extensions site.

Don’t use Google, get a domain name and use another service where you’re in control. I use fastmail and have been sending emails to my young sons “email”, which is just a subdomain of my personal email, so I guess technically it’s not his b

Great link! On a related note, a difference in Postgres is that both Repeatable Read and the higher Serializable Isolation levels are both using Snapshot Isolation under the hood. I've been trying to grok this stuff for a few years and

Got any code examples you can share? I’ve been using Alfred as a glorified app launcher forever (with a few ither integrations) but never did anything too fancy with it.

They both could be faster or more resilient depending on your workload and what you want that to mean. Take some time to learn about the differences between postgres and sqlite it is good to know about the trade offs.

Edited my comment above, but this looks really rad. I made an account and going to try porting a side project DB to it later! Particularly we need to improve our search and I've been lazy about tweaking our ts_vector setup.

Tangential, first time bumping into Xata. What is the difference between Xata and Neon? Their site says > Xata is the only serverless data platform for PostgreSQL. I thought Neon was serverless postgres too? Edit: This looks really dope

Not sure how I acquired the "common" knowledge that a plane has never crashed before due to turbulence alone, but this looks like an example of such a case!

I’ve been sponsoring on GitHub for probably two years now, didn’t even realize the paid plans went away (that was what I initially sponsored for). Have nothing else to add other than [name redacted] has been awesome.

I experimented with changing the Kagi redirect to use Bing but I was still having issues. I changed it back to Google because I figured if the redirect was going to fail I'd rather it fail back to Google haha. Edit: Looks like they did

Kagi for iOS was working great for the first month I had it but the last two weeks the extension seems to only work half the time. Glad to hear I’m not the only one.

Just checked my M1 Pro trade in, bought it for $2400 in Jan 2022 and I’m getting offered $1500 for it. So closer to losing 40% of value.

Could someone succinctly describe the situation between node ts and esm? I’m not very familiar with the ecosystem and trying to understand what pain ports people are describing here in the comments.
