I've been using QC35s with a Macbook for a long while and thanks to your comment I finally understand why sometime the headphones would switch to a different "mode" where there is a lot of hissing in the background and the bu

I think closed captions include description of noises, music cues, etc. CC subtitle tracks often show up with the name "English (SDH)" (Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of hearing). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki

So THAT's why plugging any USB3 external HD to my "factotum" home server breaks immediately all my home automation working on Zigbee. And I thought the motherboard was defective...

Wow this thread made me realize there are so many tools for this. Just to throw in another one, at my company we are using git-crypt [1], and it works pretty well in our case [1] https://github.com/AGWA/git-crypt

There is a long standing bug that AFAIK it was never fixed, that it corrupts the backups if you close/disconnect the laptop while it's doing a backup it will leave the disk in a corrupted state. It's not the NAS fault usually

I have also a LG TV, and I used to keep it disconnected at all times as all my streaming comes from the nVidia Shield anyway. However recently I wanted to setup my home automation system to automatically turn the TV off when I go to bed or

This is fantastic, thank you. I have two questions: 1. Did you decide against including any script in the app bundle for more privacy? It looks like it. 2. So all scripts must be appended in that same file? Have you thought about a behavior

Just my 2 cents: I tried using Couchpotato for a while and it was one of the worst pieces of software I have ever tried to use. Confusing UX/UI, I never could understand how and when it was actually searching for movies etc. I switched

Excuse my ignorance, but how does full-disk encryption work if you don't have console access to it? How do you enter the password after, say, a hard reset/power outage?
