Deregulating a basic human need and leaving it to the 'market' to solve this. This sounds a lot like other privatization efforts of the past decades. In my country healthcare, child support, energy, national railway, postal servic

Doesn't changing how your cpu's microcode works mean you can bypass or leak all kinds of security measures and secrets?

Wow, so providing a tool for bypassing the protection mechanism of a device (cpu) is accepted when it comes from google? Try this on any game console or drm protected device ans you are DMCAed before you know it.

For me it is a data vs code thing. If I run my application/code v1 right now, I generate data. I expect that if I move to application/code v2, I can leave my data in place and it will automatically apply changes to my data. I do n

To be fair, this also happened when Graal was released for Java. Give it another go in 3-6 months, the Graal team will have improved interoperability massively. It is a chicken (interpreter) and egg (dependencies) problem. You cannot fix th

Can anybody explain why an IBM server can be affected by a Microsoft Windows crash? Why did the IBM server need restoring from backup? Also, wouldn't that contractually be IBM's issue to solve?

There sure are a lot of mission-critical systems and companies hit by this. I am surprised that auto-updates are enabled. I read about some large companies/services in my country being affected, but also a few which are unaffected. May

If you want to avoid XSS attacks, have you tried a CSP header? I know it is more of an output validation, as you restrict what can happen with external scripts. You can only fit so many characters in your exploit, often due to max field len

So is this Arm64EC Windows-only? Is it standardized? If not, is this not just another target architecture? You cannot use it on arm64 architectures, and your app already supports x86.
