I’m glad they didn’t fire him. I’m a firm believer that despite all the short comings of US, what makes it great is there are millions of engineers and scientists working to push the frontier of what is possible, and trillions of dollars in

Linking to google docs is not a good idea. If this is truly that big of a deal I’m sure NSA will request Google to delink it. It is credible that OpenAI has cooked up something incredible and they are not being public about it before they a

There is a very good chance Trump would be elected again. For the median worker, healthcare, housing + utilities and food costs have shot up. The cost of sustaining yourself has gone up but wages haven’t. Yet we bring in more people to the

Separation of compute and storage, and storage having tables being sharded is now in many modern databases (cockroachdb, clickhouse and singlestore come to mind). This being part of native aws fully postgres compatible is exciting though. I

Files are just a bunch of bytes. No harm in putting them in a database. There were some benchmarks, I couldn’t fine where SQLite was faster than native file system at retrieving, searching and adding files to a large directory.

Title should be “Most VC funded AI startups are doomed”. I dunno man, levelsio (Pieter) and Danny his friend are making millions as solopreneurs taking existing models, some light training and adding beautiful frontends to it. You’re right

I would pay for an adless and algo control version of Facebook, Insta and Twitter/X. With Twitter even if I pay, still get the same number ads. I want to customize what is shown in my feed.
