I’m trying to understand the problem here. If the website you’re on has some javascript that’s executing side channel attacks to uniquely identify you, why couldn’t they just use other fingerprinting techniques?

To be fair, the actual Python docs are also pretty verbose when you’re looking for quick answers.

I’d also like to know this. In general, what performance gains would one expect to see from an IC custom made for a very specific algorithm versus a modern CPU?

Note that this book tells you all about why we sleep, and gives you a lot of scary stats, but almost nothing practical about how to sleep better. If you already know sleep is important and want actionable advice, this book won’t help.

I think their point was that if everyone lives to 150, the rate of deaths per year will eventually converge to the same as if they live to 50. Lengthening the pipe doesn’t mean more water flows through it per minute.

Not a newspaper subscriber but can’t you just cut these payments off at the source by calling the bank and telling them it’s fraudulent and unauthorised? PayPal, Apple etc make this pretty easy for most subscriptions.

Instead of preventing competitor products working on your platform, why not spend the energy learning why people avoid Edge in the first place? Forcing unwilling users into a bad product never ends well.

One of the best things about PyCharm and friends is the vim bindings. They are much closer to actual vim than other IDE plugins. This is the main reason reason I made the switch to using an IDE for Python development.
