Calling Dask python spaghetti is quite hilarious. That spaghetti can auto scale to hundreds of machines without skipping a beat. Which is far more useful than the other tools you mentioned which are only useful for one off tasks.

>DuckDB produces Pandas dataframes, so you would just do df.T. No need to choose between one the other. Transforming into a pandas df isn't zero copy. UNPIVOT and PIVOT are quite verbose compared to df.T.

How would you do df.T in sql?

That's just a handful of columns. You have to manually type out each and every arrangement. Add in if you want the new columns to be added in place and you have to bring in window functions.

Please share how many lines of sql it will take to statistically normalize multiple columns. Or even something simple like null cleaning columns based on dynamic thresholds.

No it shouldn't. The verbosity of SQL makes it unwieldy to maintain for pipelines.

This isn’t true at all. Numerous sellers reduce prices for apple devices. It’s gotten so consumer friendly that I almost never go to the Apple Store anymore. I know this because I fully utilize Best Buy’s price matching to get lower prices
