I don't see what else they should have done? This researcher made some ultimatum. As part of it, she said if Google refused, she would set a date to leave the company. Google obviously did not concede to her demand, and obviously didn&

At least they are trying to fix it, vs other languages where there are literally no paths forward. IMO python has one of the more mature packaging ecosystems out there at this point. It is so incredibly easy.

Similar things happened with most of the popular jailbreak utilities for iPhones. Custom backgrounds, app icons, ... really all of the successful modifications were eventually pulled into iOS.

I believe a Hohmann transfer is just a method of changing between two orbits of a central body. In this case it's just moving from it's intial orbit to the Moon's orbit, which are both around the Earth. The Hohmann transfer d

I find that I want to use a project _more_ if they follow best practices like using ~/.config/{app_name}. Attention to details like that usually indicate a higher quality piece of software overall.

I really appreciate it! Only issue I see is that it won't support inherited dataclasses where the base class already defines __slots__, but I should be able to hack together support.

I love dataclasses, incredibly simple to use but so useful. My only gripe is no first-class support for "__slots__".

Yeah I would be greatly concerned about using a Pi for this task. The SD card issues alone are enough to warrant a different platform.

I have definitely been seeing a decrease in some FAANG spots. Things may have started to ramp back up, but I believe there were several companies who put blanket freezes hiring for certain levels.
