You're absolutely right. I've spent hours debugging strange form input behavior related to quirks in Mobile Safari / UIWebView which are hardly Phonegap's fault. It really comes down to optimization and ironing out all of the wrinkles, thou

Last year I found a backup of my early 90s WWIV BBS on 20-ish 3.5" disks. I thought about trying to retrieve the data, but decided it wasn't worth the effort.. so I just tossed them. This article makes me a bit sad about the decision.

I always figured Jobs was trying to maintain a neutral position with regards to charity, contributions, etc. It's hardly uncommon for people to donate to personal causes anonymously to avoid the politics and potential perceived tackiness wi

There are hundreds of ways to get free music that haven't had the same explosive growth rate as turntable. I think the article is right in that they've done very well with subtle but surprisingly deep social aspects. I do think they have a

I've been using Freelancers for about a year, paying ~350/month for a decent PPO and dental. Not incredible, but it's the best option I could find apart from high deductible plans. NY only unfortunately, and I'm not aware of any similar thi

I know as a fact that Adobe intends to try, but I can't help but think whatever they cook up is going to be only marginally useful for serious development (which frankly is my first impression of Producer as well, though it does have potent

Wow, I'm extremely curious how that will pan out. Going to Antarctica has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I always thought it was relatively difficult to do, but I suppose there aren't border guards. Incidentally, I'm from North Dakota s

The dance game is a pretty ridiculous amount of fun, assuming you like these sorts of things at all. The casual gamer appeal that made the Wii a success is pretty immediately obvious when you see it in action, and they definitely nailed the

A lot of people will suggest avoiding the Tenderloin (as you can see in the other comments), but I know several people who live there and haven't had any particular problems. Yes, there's a bit of a zombie infestation, but as long as you ke

If you happen to end up in New York, check out Freelancers Union: http://freelancersunion.com/ I'm paying around $300/month for a decent basic PPO and dental (for just myself)

Part of the hope is that it will reduce overall car traffic by shortening the amount of time people are just driving in circles (distractedly) looking for parking. Apparently this makes up a surprisingly big percentage of the time spent in
