My MIL has commandeered our wine cooler and there's nothing but assorted vegetables in there now. I can't comment on whether this is a good practice or not.

Haha, I read through the beginning of that article which focused on hexagonal. While it was an over-complicated example, it didn't look too bad. But then skipped ahead to your quote. It definitely felt like satire to me! (Or at least I

I always find these discussions interesting. I've been working for the same company 10 years. When we built project A, I was surrounded by people who had built the same product for the past 20 years together. As a younger dev, I deferr

Nope I have one parent group on WhatsApp none of whom are named Zach or Melanie. I haven't logged in Facebook or messenger in a long time, but I checked the groups there and none have any messages resembling what the assistant read.

I'm on mobile so I kept my message short. But it gave me a detailed itinerary of 4 different names I've never heard of including dinner plans with dates and times. I tried to replay the summary but there didn't seem to be any

In case anyone is skeptical of my post, the actual sms my father sent was a few pictures from a UFO festival in upstate NY (a stormtrooper, an alien, etc) with the following message: "Wish I could say that the UFO Festival was out of t

This was a very long time ago, so I don't remember all details. But yes the download took hours. This was basically the first website I visited when I got internet access (and I would assume most kids did as well). So this predates 28.

I still feel bad I left my parents' computer online all night to download a .wav (?) audio file of Mario jumping from Nintendo.com. Back then, the closest most kids got to Nintendo was via video game magazines. So going to Nintendo.com

Keep in mind if you're selling to new customers, they may find your web app "dated". The new customers likely won't compare the web app to your desktop app, but to other competitors web apps. And these days the expectati

Wait you paid 25k for a used/salvage RX-8 in 2009? That sounds crazy. I think I bought one new for around 26k in 2008.

I have around 30 YoLink sensors scattered about our house (mainly for detecting water leaks). And for a long time I only had the single hub in the basement on the complete opposite end of the house. I never had any signal issue and they
