Huh? If a C-corp makes $200k and pays out $100k as salary to the sole owner/shareholder and keeps $100k in the business, the shareholder will pay payroll taxes and personal income tax on that $100k salary, and the corporation will pay

You need to do both. If you only do the latter, then stale accounts which never log in again will never have their passwords upgraded to the more secure hash. Hashing the hash allows you to replace the md5 hashes immediately, and then you c

Having looked through this project I would not recommend using it as a basis for learning how an iOS app is "done right", as they've deviated from standard iOS/Swift paradigms significantly. In particular, the use of Rea

There's nothing in the article that claims to defy thermodynamics. Consider this: anything you ingest can either be 1) absorbed by the body or 2) pass right through you. This is determined by the digestive processes occurring in your b

That's amazing. Apple captures 104% of the profits in the smartphone market, Samsung is next in line with... 0.9%. Everyone else is selling phones at a loss in order to gain more market share.

Probably because most people don't use their phones to make phone calls anymore, so other use cases are more important to them? Messaging, Facebook, etc.

People said this in 2008 when the first iOS and Android SDKs were released. They've been saying it every year since. It's now 8 years later and doesn't seem like it's coming true anytime soon.

Follow the iOS instructions. You can install older versions of apps directly from the App Store on your iPad by going into the Purchased section. It will prompt you to install the last compatible version. If you're trying to do this wi

Skylake does not support LPDDR4, nor does Kaby Lake (except with their ultra-low power chips). I don't think we're going to see 32 GB RAM in the ultrabook category until LPDDR4 is supported by Intel in their mobile-class processor

But what's the battery life like on the Dell? Edit: Googled for "Dell XPS 15 9550 battery life". Results do not look good. Seems clear the 16GB limit is an Intel limitation. In order to achieve 32GB (like in the Dell XPS 15)

I'm really surprised by the responses here. It makes me wonder if any of the people opposed to this have ever lived in cities with good public transit systems (e.g. London, Tokyo, Hong Kong).

Sure you do. If you want to run an iOS app written for iOS 5 you can go dig up your old iPhone out of the closet (or eBay), put iOS 5 on it, and run it again. If you want to run that same app on iOS 10 on your iPhone 7, well, that's an
