A huge amount of debt is always a threat to prosperity (both personal and national). The fact that so many people seem to think it is "no big deal" is part of the problem (on both a personal and national level).

Only if you are measuring against GDP. Even adjusting for the value of a dollar in 1950, the $260 billion owed was equivalent only to about 3.5 trillion dollars. Nothing to sneeze at, but nowhere near 19 trillion.

Well, when many programmers look up something in a reference, they are looking for details about the API (functions/modules/variables/etc), not necessarily a tutorial on how to use those things. Examples can be good, but usu

No, forced abortions and drowning of infants is the result of a godless culture that does not believe in the sanctity of a human life. If you can accept these as being OK because they are occurring in a different culture, then my only respo

I'm actually glad this complaint was made. But only because I was unaware that you could change the scroll direction on a Mac. I will definitely be making that "overcustomization" on my Mac. :-D

I really don't think Larry meant that to be condescending. The "worst" I could imagine is that he was poking a little fun at Ruby programmers. I'm sure he was just trying to be funny, but sometimes it's easy to mis
