I wouldn't say Utahns "love porn", just that the study showed they're willing to PAY for it more than any other state.

While developing, I hack my /etc/hosts to point at a local dev environment. Is this to say that Firefox would ignore that as well?

Having used (and loved) both Magit in Emacs and Fugitive in Vim, I totally get it. It's simply a pleasant experience to not switch contexts too far away from my editor. I certainly don't mind performing Git-related tasks in my ter

That CTRL+SHIFT+C thing in Gnome Terminal/Ubuntu (and some others) has driven me nuts for years!!! yes, I get that CTRL+c means something different in the context of shell execution. But it's still maddening.

I was a contractor for the Forest Service at the Remote Sensing Application Center in Utah. The Rails tools were mostly internal... but yup, I lobbied hard to be allowed to write something other than PHP, C#, or Java.

Back in 2013, when I worked for the Federal Gov, JRuby was the best way to get Ruby on Rails apps to run in a Windows-only world. I absolutely love the work that folks like Charles do!

It's a wonderful book. I own a paper copy of the first edition. I know there's a second edition coming. It isn't a substitute for api docs... at all. Take a look at this: https://doc.rust-lang.org/std/vec

Phew, I thought you were talking about the ecosystem as it refers to docs. The docs for OCaml and the Core library are so absolutely terrible. It's like 1996 threw up in an HTML doc and no one has thought to change any of it. Sadly, Re
