I'd take python and add optional variable declaration and flexible explicit typing constraints (a variable can be declared as either having certain methods returning a certain type, or as being of a set of types, or as being of any type, bu

Hm. While croakit is an interesting idea, I'd note that croakit comments aren't searchable or quotable. Sometimes text is better.

I'm really amused by the fact that not only do you make visible modifications to a popular site you own as a talking point, but as other comments suggest, you seem to make a habit of it.

Then upgrade internet explorer to version 9. That way, even if they choose to use IE, they won't be able to escape using a modern, standards-compliant browser.

Agreed. Good OOP is all about creating decoupled components that can be understood independent of the rest of the code. That's why it's so hard.

I was thinking about that. The power of the iPod, in retrospect, was getting an entertainment device into every pocket as much as it was being a good MP3 player. It was truly the Minimum Viable Product of the current-gen iPod Touches/iPhone

If adobe "got it", Flash would compile into cross-platform HTML5 code. The world doesn't need another inner platform.

<3 canvas. My team and I developed an HTML5 game over the summer, and we were consistently impressed with how capable hardware-accelerated canvas was of answering our needs.

Vendor specific? http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-grid/ Yes, I know, Microsoft was clearly the one who pushed for CSS3 grid positioning, but it's also a standard that can be adopted by any other browser and, as someone who has used it a bit, I r

You could always use radio waves for the upload band. That way, it will still increase both download and upload speeds (uploads will can have a wider band now that they don't compete with downloads for the same airspace), it just won't incr

Most of these are really easy. I got a partial derivative of a constant. And honestly, if you can't answer basic math questions, you probably have no use for a quantum random bit generator.

Well, depends on how you count. Is 4 one-two hour interviews by different people on the same day considered one interview or four? (Assuming, of course, a preliminary phone interview would constitute the fifth)

Ah, but which one would you rather use as your desktop, given the choice? You pay for features with RAM use, hard drive space or processor cycles, and frequently with all three. It's just a question of how much those features are worth.

Qwiki seems mostly to me like an attempt to "multimedia-ize" the information on the web. This seems the wrong way to go. What the web is lacking isn't breadth or engagement capacity. Hell, Wikipedia has engagement capacity. What the web lac

I've always wondered if airport security in general is ultimately a detriment. After all, it involves getting tons of people together at one spot. What's stopping a terrorist from blowing themselves up in the line for security?
