Where are the pro-consumer advocacy groups from last time? EFF? FSF? They haven't even briefly mentioned the issue at hand.

Kind of a bummer to hear they are giving up on theirs (if it even exists lol) But at the same time I wouldn't expect the people that put out that abomination of a frontpage to even know what's an xm file.

Just curious, would you feature an absolute trainwreck of a setup like [0] if the owner submitted it or do you intend on keeping it strictly upper middle class? [0]: https://bnn-news.com/wp-content/gallery/offices&

Pluton first debuted in the Xbox One. It's possibly the first home console that went it's entire lifespan without being hacked. That should tell you everything about the threat we are facing.

Judgement is nigh. I'd love to get my hands on one of the decrypted binaries but I expect there are much more capable reverse engineers are already carrying the torch :^)

Are there any documented cases of this happening? The potential for damage would go way beyond the country's borders.

I assume the audio/video stack runs on a different thread so not much. It still suffers from a terminal case of Electron, but atleast it's not worse than it's comptetitors in this regard. Both teams and discord have an absolu

How hard does it get later on? This looks very tame and quite fun. In comparison, here in Hungary our "Basic computer science" was filled to the brim with graph theory and was absolutely joyless.

This is not a big deal really. Getting an SSL cert only requires you provide proof of ownership of your domain and has no KYC. You can get as many certs as you want, or sign it yourself. Right now, SSL(or PKI to be precise) is a very privac

If you look at https://4stats.io/ you can get a rough idea why. Pol is by far the biggest and it's not a fun time. I disagree with the generalization too since I'm very fond of the DIY and photography boards.

You can beat it into submission if you are okay with "purchasing" an enterprise license and set a bunch of GPOs and firewall rules. You can even go deeper and load unsigned drivers if you absolutely must. I wonder how much of this

Sounds like we are back at square one. Or even worse because "regular" DRM'd printers are atleast cheap upfront and you can keep it cheap if you are ok with replacing ID chips/flashing cfw.
