This looks like it'd be EXTREMELY useful for cronjobs and other things where you need to send email to yourself (or another address) automatically. It would remove the need to self-host email just so that you can send status reports...

To me, speed-reading is "reading very quickly". I don't think that the exact method really matters all that much... or at least it shouldn't.

So... what's the best way to tell if C99 is "installed" on your server(s)? grep -Ri c99 /path/to/htdocs would be my guess

A MUD without character creation? That's pretty wild. I'm curious about this project now...

That idea is a lot more practical. It'd be tough to find your phone and pound the power button in a bad situation. A program/service that triggers on a lack of input is a lot more likely to actually WORK when it's needed. As

I can't edit my comment for some reason, but as thefreeman pointed out in response to agildehaus' comment, I was referring to how the iOS Chrome is still WebKit.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant. I think that a few people may have missed that due to the fact that my comment is currently at -2.

I jumped over the flagpole once in 1-1 in the original Super Mario Bros thanks to a Game Genie code. Once you walk past the pipe that's the entrance to 1-2, you see about two more screens that then repeat forever. There are some places

The funny thing is that the "RAWR NO SAFARI, ONLY CHROME!" people don't seem to realize that both are WebKit at the core. Sure, some features are in Chrome first, but that's only because Apple is very cautious when relea

Now THAT would be a sandboxed browser. Also, even though people tend to not like this kind of thing here, it has to be said: Yo dawg...

How exactly does this work? Are the videos being sent to (and maybe saved by) a central server? Are you collecting the phone numbers for later advertising (or other) use? There are potentially a lot of bad privacy implications with this pro

Wow, I guess that there aren't really any "fully open" phones in that case. For the truly paranoid (with or without reason), I guess that they would have to go the RMS route -- or find a payphone that isn't within sight

I played Diplomacy once. I ended up foiling a veteran player's plan to screw me over at the end, leading to a two-way tie between us. It was great!

I would like to see something that helps create useful, specific scrapers for languages like Ruby and Python. It's annoying to have to run scripts multiple times, tweaking it after each run to get exactly what you need. It's a w
