At least part of the reason d'etre for FP is to make people who took a lot of math courses at university feel like they didn't waste their education.

Didn't understand the point of the plant in Norway making synthetic fuels using water power for cars. When the cars burn the fuel, the CO2 in it will still be part of the atmosphere and increase the temperature. So what's the adv

Who would have thought that statically linking hundreds of MB worth of binaries every build causes problems? Maybe some of it can be fixed with a lot of engineering effort, but the fact remains that it is a bad idea to redo so much work eve

I think these are much higher level with larger vectors. With vectors he means the low level vectors of the CPU. So if you want to write your own low level algorithms, without going down to the actual intrinsics.

Yes that's true. Coverity and similar are even slower. But then rust errors out on a lot of things the C++ analyzer wouldn't, a lot of those things are actually being reasonable code. For example I discovered recently that you can

Replace the minute with 30 years. Also I think it was more a case of William II being a moron, and his advisors just not being very good. And I don't think for WW1 (unlike WW2) anybody's goal was to expand. It was more a case of e

Interesting it has a "come from". So the execution will stop somewhere, but it's defined somewhere else. That's worse than GOTO I would say. PERFORM 4200-COPY-ECR THRU 4200-EXIT.
