The compiler can't reliably make assumptions about whether const methods in C++ cause mutation, because both const_cast and aliasing are permitted.

It also shows how social capital as a whole plays a role, above and beyond the connections. You did the wife a favour and the husband did you a favour by putting forward your CV for interview. I've met a bunch of billionaires in my lif

In the modern system S&D is controlled by commercial banks and regulated by the central bank via the central bank rate. Any bank could go rogue and lend money below central bank/base rate, but because all other banks can "earn

When you buy Microsoft stock, no money goes to Microsoft. Microsoft only raise capital when they issue new shares or sell reserved shares themselves. Stock markets are a secondary market.

cfiresim basically confirms the 4% rule over 30 years. That said, if you mix in state benefits things are a lot more favorable for higher withdrawal rates.

I don't think that's the case. It must means you need to lower your retirement expectations.

Even worse... the 4% rule is only tested over 30 years. If you're retiring at 55 you should probably be looking at a withdrawal rate of 2.5 - 3%, so 35-40 times your desired retirement income

Markets are forward looking. If a company loses less money next year than it did this year then they see growth. Likewise, if a company loses more money next year than this year... well, that is growth too! Growth at all costs.
