The problem is that OpenAI's work is by definition capital-intensive, and they need a source of investment. Realistically, that means they need a corporate sponsor, which in turn means they need to offer a return on investment. I'

The DMCA has specific rules which govern sites that host user-generated content, which in turn gives the hosting site legal protection from copyright claims. At the moment, inference doesn't count as "user-generated" content

Eh, debating what's a "blog" and what's a "personal website" is splitting hairs. Most "blogs" nowadays don't have the features you're talking about, because very few people actually care abo

Wordpress is incredibly complex when compared to a static site that can be served ~entirely from a CDN. A database-backed blog has been outmoded now for years. If you don't want a pre-built theme, you don't need the plugin ecosyst

Most people aren't like you FWIW; there's a lot of research that suggests consumers prefer higher fixed prices to lower variable prices. The trouble with PPV (even if it's much cheaper than something like YouTube Premium) is

My guess is they're branding it in this way to obfuscate the number of parameters used, which makes sense because more parameters doesn't necessarily mean a better model. It's kind of like the "number of bits" compe

It depends on what's being evaluated, but from what I've read, Mistral is also fairly competitive at a much smaller size. One of the biggest problems right now is that there isn't really a great way to evaluate the performanc

Companies don't stay profitable by investing in unprofitable markets, though. If they don't think this approach is going to work out long-term, they should stop spending money on it, even if that means reducing headcount.

That isn't an inconsistency, it's an intentional choice. The color of the text is an aspect of the text, not of the font. The corresponding property in CSS is color, not font-color.
