It's basically the most promising competitor to Photoshop for creating graphics. Very cool product.

Yes but they spent 40m. Hardly the same thing.

Android has limited access accounts, which would do many of those things.

iOS lets you block access to a single app, so that even if they click the home button they can't go anywhere else.

So, I guess microdosing LSD is making people in Silicon Valley a little confused...

Is Apple screwing up a lot lately, or is it me..?

Thanks! I appreciate it.

Could someone give me an ELI5 on Meltdown/Spectre..? I understand that they're vulnerabilities, but what is the risk and why is the worse bug in history?

Yes of course, it depends on your workflow. I switch between apps and I often keep windows almost maximized. I also only do web work, so I look at webpages all day.

Whatever you say. Here's a better image though, rather than a really weird bunch of lines for camera sensors: https://wolfcrow.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/43169aspectc... It's about 20% more

Huge difference. If you're in a country where they sell the Surface Book, go take a look and you'll immediately notice that there is a _lot_ more vertical space.

Very cool, but as an owner of the Cube Thinker/i35--which has the same exact 3000x2000 3:2 aspect ratio display as the Surface Book (but costs $500)--I can't imagine why any developer would put up with a 16:9 display. Specially if

Google software is in my opinion the best on the market in every aspect, and I would hate to stop using their Chrome, Inbox, Photos, Maps, and Keep apps. I'm also not sure if the way Google looks like they're using information is

Why are there many restaurants often one next to each other? Why can't people get their money together and hire the absolute best chef in the world and build 1 huge restaurant? That's just how it is. Also, he's not duplicatin

I don't get it. Opera keeps being first at everything, yet they seem to fail to get any meaningful browser share (worldwide). So sad.

I don't see what happiness you get from his Instagram. I get that he doesn't need to worry about money, but so..? He might be super-miserable for all we know.

I've been using Basecamp since version 1, and in my opinion it became worse and more overpriced at every release. I've recently signed up to see if I could use it for a team, and it was barely more useful than a piece of paper. Ob

Sure, but what if the thing breaks or the batteries run out and similar?

by nkkollaw 9y ago
Sure, but is that actually an actual problem? I and my mom while I was little have given keys to the house to maids and similar and nothing ever happened in 40 years. I know most people do the same. I would be more afraid of actual problems

You picked 2 unimportant points he made and totally ignored what he was trying to say. The point was that many people said many different things that didn't happen at all, it makes no sense to pick one that guessed it right 59 years la

It's so awesome when people create problems to fix non-problems. I never once thought my life would be better if I didn't need to put up with those nasty keys...

Luckily, most writers pick better titles than this guy. If what you describe actually happened, the rules would change.

This doesn't seem like vandals, but more a competitor or someone who wanted to hurt them for something they did. Destroying 50 beehives is a job.
