Happened to me (in Europe). Keyboard was replaced twice. Logic board died too (along with the data on SSD since it's soldered on). All repairs were done for free by the Apple store, but of course I lost about 10 days of work (or at lea

Apple doesn't target artists and developers anymore. Photographers cannot easily transfer pictures, devs cannot type, etc. etc. The sooner one understands that, the better.

I'm not sure everyone wants thinnes. I'm working on a 3-cm thick gaming laptop and I'm about 100 times more productive compared to my old 2016 MBP, just because the keyboard actually registeres all keystrokes. I've also

If games are keyboard-based, I don't think Apple would be a good platform, given the state of their keyboards.

Are you being serious? A cast looks pretty ridiculous, but if your arm is broken you wear it. I don't experience motion sickness, but if my girlfriend wore those I wouldn't start making fun of her because even though she's no

So, they didn't seem to have fixed the horrible keyboard problems that all their newer model of laptops have. Why would anyone spend this much money on a laptop, with 2 class actions in the going and Apple not even seriously acknowledg

Why does the author have this horrible tone throughout the whole article? He talks like the glasses are joke and focuses on the fact that--God forbid--they don't have a good design according to him, but if they work they're a fant

Wow, not by a huge margin. I'm sure it will pass sooner or later. It's really amazing how people have to keep these idiots that are _supposed to_ be there to guard our interests in check. As long as parties are allowed to accept c

I hate how this has been associated with memes. It makes it instantly dismissable as B.S. while it's something that people should take seriously.

Personally, my MBP's keyboard failing and Apple Store saying it wasn't a known problem made me switch to Lenovo (after 5 years with Apple). I bought a 5kg-laptop that I bought with HDD and 8GB RAM and I upgraded myself to 24GB RAM

I switched to Linux on Lenovo because of the problems I've had from the latest MBP. You might expect problems from a 500-euros laptop, but not that your keyboard will stop functioning correctly after 2 months on a 1799-eur laptop. Also

I see. I meant more that Electron would add ~/.electron/chrome-66.so, and guarantee that it will be there or downloaded if required by an Electron app. Then, all apps that are built against Chrome 66 would all use a single ~/
