For web developers it's a pain, but I can see how it might help everyone else (which is I assume the vast majority). At least they haven't been as idiotic as Apple and didn't remove everything but the domain name like Apple d

GIMP's UI is one of the worst I can think of. Everything is counterintutive, starting from shortcuts, to menus, etc. etc., and since it's GTK2 it looks minuscule on hidpi screens.

Well, it's basically unusable if you have a hidpi monitor--which is more and more people every day. If you don't, it's barely usable, with very bad UX defaults.

You have to give it to Google, they ambitious: people use ad blockers, they want to change how every single website is made to be able to bypass ad blocker. I think it's just genius.

Jesus... Yes, this is NOT good, considering the number of services that you can log in into with just a SMS confirmation (my bank, for instance).

So, do phone numbers get recycled? For instance, if I change phone company and decide not to keep the number or they're unable to transfer it, can it be assigned to someone else?

What's wrong with telling people to go to their website? They apps seems like a thin wrapper around a web app, couldn't they just have people use the web app? If you add a link to the home screen, it's almost identical. Not i

jQuery is simpler than React. HTML is simpler than React. What a weak selling point, then.

I don't know. Creating the HTML file, finding a CDN, and adding script tags take more than: npx create-react-app MyApp There is nothing to install, and you have a complete playground to experiment.

Setting up Webpack manually is a pain, but honestly if one uses create-react-app, everything is done for you and you just start coding your app: you have transpiling of ES6 (at least, I don't know about ES7), you can install and includ

From what I read on Italian forums, Italian engineers say that the materials that were used to build the bridge weren't the same chosen by the designers. It will be a while before we learn the actual cause for the collapse, however.
