Looks cool, but £11,000 is almost twice as much of a similar scooter...

Definitely. They were the first to do that, so it wasn't easy.

> 70/30 split for apps is ridiculous and a non-starter. Apple and Google can demand that because of market share. This experiment cannot. reply I wouldn't compare elementary OS's fee to that of Apple and Google. Apple and

elementary is not for me because it limits configuration a little bit too much to my taste, but it's a wonderful project. One of the cons of Linux--which is the OS I use exclusively--is that most apps are made by programmers, and progr

Ah, they don't have to keep supporting Bionic for 10 years instead of 5?

This will be a lot of extra work for desktop distros.

My MacBook Air's keyboard never broke (I've had 2, kept them for 2-3 years each.

Mmm... I wonder if they improved repairability because they expect things to keep breaking...

Half-way through your comment, I though you were going to say it was actually a positive thing that Apple keyboards aren't good enough to type on them...

by nkkollaw 8y ago
Oh, it took them 2 years (and God only knows how many laptops with related frustration). Better late than never, I guess.

How, exactly..?

I you can afford it, a Surface Book. Otherwise, a Dell XPS. I personally use Linux Xfce, but Windows is just great.

I think it's a non-problem. The new keyboards cease functioning with dust particles.
406.
by nkkollaw 8y ago
That's what I thought. The keyboard on my old 2016 MBP stopped functioning after 3 months: repeated characters, missing characters. Who cares about stability!? Those keyboards don't work as keyboards!
407.
by nkkollaw 8y ago
What does "stable" mean? Keys don't stop working because of dust anymore..?

No USB ports.

by nkkollaw 8y ago
Sure, but it has the horrible butterfly keyboard--with those crammed up arrows I hate so much--and all ports are gone. Also, how do we kniw they'll stay without releasing another one for another 5 years? As a MacBook Air user for years

I don't know, I signed up after reading about the ban, but I didn't have the impression of really heavy posts. Facebook comments and posts are just as random, and Voat is definitely worse. Not worth a ban from PayPal, for sure.

I love the idea, but in all honesty it would be a real problem making the week start on Sunday. In all countries I've been but the States the week starts on Monday, not Sunday.

by nkkollaw 8y ago
Doesn't look that much different than Facebook, honestly. Most posts look pretty normal.

As cool as Berlin art is, so is a Google campus for tech people and business in general? If I picture a gentrification activist I think about a purple-haired kid that wouldn't get a job if his life depended on it, making people that mi

Sure, maybe! YouTube also offers royalty-free music, but it doesn't always go well. I made a few videos in the past, and bought music from iStockPhoto. The problem of being sued to shut down negative reviews remains, though.
