It does. The article says that you can always cancel your vote later. So vote pro-flowers in front of husband, and then change your vote on your cellphone or in the library

My fear is that: 1. _Right now_, I don't know how many nation states are trying to hack the election in Estonia. I know of quite a few who would be more than happy to do so in the US. And while it's true you can send spies... it&#

It does. One can drop by the next day and vote for someone else (and the last vote wins over earlier, and physical voting overrides e-voting). However, it still requires that people "undo" their vote. I can imagine that a large pe

Again Google is shooting themselves in the foot. Google Fiber, like Android, is a moonshot to keep their line of business alive. Failure doesn't mean that Google doesn't profit off a new line of business. Failure means that Google

Yes, the point wasn't the lander but the _landing_ . If the landing works, they can try an expensive rover in 2020. Now, they can fix what they think broke, but they're never sure until it (fails to) land.

While I mentioned the NSA, really the bigger threat is a guy (or hacker group) who wants to pull off a million dollar heist. The NSA can get into (practically) anything and everything. To get a job at MS, you have to have a real life repu

The problem is getting a bad actor into a large community is quite easy if funds aren't an issue. You think the NSA (or FSB, or whatever) can't pay for someone to maintain nginx or apache?

I don't think people realize just how _bad_ is Mars. When scientists talk about "water on Mars", they think they've found a river. When they hear how far it is, they think it's only twice as far as the moon. It even

We can (thermodynamic ally speaking) make a huge radiator going from the earth to the moon, warming up the moon and cooling off earth. Will it happen in 5 (or 500) years? Probably not, but it's not an entropy issue.
