No, the binary information too is a privacy concern. For example, one could enter a coworker's phone number to confirm that the coworker has a 4chan account. This isn't good.

I'm disappointed and growing hopeless about the state of software engineering at these companies that this sort of issue is not caught in engineering design documents, during development/debugging, or during code reviews. Any com

Same, I don't see the number in the article. Was it removed from the official Twitter post? An older external article[1] about the hack mentions 5.4M accounts. [1]: https://www.cshub.com/attacks/news/54-millio

I was wrong about the last part of my comment. It isn’t entirely 3D touch specific. From the original post: “Fast forward to today, the trackpad mode and selection feature technically still exist albeit in a lesser form. If you long press (

I didn't know this feature was 3D touch-specific. Why can't Apple make the feature activate on a regular "long press" for the other models?

The twelve month names for the month dropdown could be localized, unless I'm missing something. The entries don't necessarily have to each be three characters; they can be longer if the localization requires it.

I've seen some US government forms use [01] [Jan] [1970] where [01]: one- or two-digit day, typed manually [Jan]: three-letter month, picked from a dropdown [1970]: four-digit year, typed manually I think this is a

I think it isn't a good UX to have to scroll through a list on the sidebar to find the main preference category you're looking for. Having all the preferences categories visible at once on the main screen is a better UX.

”System Preferences” is an iconic, multilayered name. I would dislike seeing it replaced by the blasé ”Settings”.

Excellent point! Tangentially, to prevent scenarios where generated code becomes out of sync, in your CI you should always re-run generators and check that `git status` shows no entries (and fail the build if it does).

If the code is managed manually and not by package.json, I would consider putting such code in a "vendor" or "third_party" directory instead of putting into "node_modules".

Safari also has a built-in mechanism to achieve this. In Preferences > Advanced > Style sheet, you can pick a custom style sheet file for style overrides.
