I think Skribit ( http://skribit.com/ ) might lead to better topics for blogs. This site seems good for facebook wall posts or tweets.

I've always had a problem getting Adium to properly setup group chats. Does anyone have a multi-protocol IM client for Mac which does support group chatting properly?

I do something similar to this for a group that I'm involved in. We have a registered twitter account. This account follows all of the group members. If a member direct messages the group account, this message is rebroadcast. This works reg

It was really a great talk, did you see his talk about the textural interfaces? The room was packed for the talk about the technology mentioned in the article.

They use the CSS Sprite technique to overlay a certain portion of this image http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/images/ui/UIRoundedImage.png on top of your picture. It's hard to see in the browser but above the blue rounded corner mask there is a

I believe GMail adds things to the header to help it track the conversation. This along with time-based subject matching allows it to handle most cases easily.

Right, I should have said this. My point was not a browser that replaces Safari, but something that is more of a app where you could find a list of website specifically targeted to the platform.

The main browser would be subject to the same security as any native app, so I'm not sure how the security issues would be any different than a native application.

While HTML5 storage is good, I think the main advantage of native apps is access to hardware. Projects like Phonegap ( http://phonegap.com/ ) help you write a native app that is a website with special JS-based access to the hardware. Howe

So I had thought about using my modified RSS feed for HN (available at: http://hacketal.com/#hnrss ) for this purpose but decided against it because I have very different use cases for RSS versus the HN homepage. The homepage, for me, is

I also got Times as part of the MH bundle but I've had no luck with getting it to actually display any feeds. I've tried adding each one individually and importing a OPML file from Google Reader. What could I be missing?

Can you only add individual accounts? Doesn't seem possible to add all of the people I follow as a single feed.

Let's make this a constructive debate. Do you have any thoughts on a system that could be developed to secure permissions of the original creator?

Right, so maybe that's why pg doesn't do something like this feed for the regular feed. Also, there's the fact that no heuristic will be a 100% reliable in determining the actual content area.

I suppose I could try to go to each linked article and find their RSS feed and see if they normally expose the content but that seems quite complicated. I don't know if missed click-throughs is why pg doesn't do something similar for the ex
