The speed is awesome but some of the UI elements really bug me. For example, there is no elastic scrolling unlike other all other iPhone apps. Although, somebody pointed out that Apple has a patent on "elastic scrolling" which may be a reas

I'm shocked. The app is still somewhat crippled though, all links from other Apps can only be opened in Safari. So, not the same as switching a browser on your desktop or laptop. Nonetheless it seems like a step in the right direction.

Both Chrome & Firefox are supporting this from the beginning. It's certainly a great start.

Seems unlikely. It's awfully difficult to integrate an acquisition like EtherPad so quickly. I've read that they've been working on a real-time architecture from the ground up for a while. Plus, I think the Etherpad team joined Wave, not Do

What if Opera gains significant share on the iPhone? Now Apple doesn't have as much leverage against Google. That's really what I meant to say.

I highly doubt this will be approved. There is no way Apple is letting a third party come and play on their turf in the mobile browser market. Not to mention this would mean Apple would not have full control of who the default search provid

As I suspected, iAd API's are tightly coupled with the OS and dead simple to utilize. I just wrote a sample app. Too bad Apple won't allow further discussions on the subject matter. Everyone who views the new beta API references are under N

This was detailed in the presentation. Using Google's Admob ads presumably will not be as seamless of an experience for the app developer. It'll be harder to implement things like keeping the user in the app while viewing the ad or adding v

Serious limitations and certainly by no means a seamless experience. For example, you can't get updates on SMS messages unless you use a hack (like Prowl).

To make this work somewhat seamlessly, check out DropZone. It's a pretty cool mac app that allows all sorts of stuff to happen around drag and drop. http://aptonic.com/ (It has a Dropbox extension as well)
