243 minus 15 = 227. Ummmm... what did LinkedIn spend $227 million dollars on?

You are 100% correct - that was the exact situation with us. If we're leaving a service, and we were told we were in control of that data, any remotely diligent security process would involve exporting all data on the service in a secure ma

I signed up for Yammer with the re-assurance that I would be in control of my company's data. And that the service could be cancelled at any time. Having to make TWO phone calls to cancel my account for a web-based system is absolutely inex

I had this EXACT same issue with Yammer about 8 months ago. The experience of canceling my account made me want to bolt off their system and killed any hesitation I had. I checked out Presently ( http://present.ly ) the next day and after a

Harvest ( http://www.harvestapp.com ) has been great for us. Simple, effective, and works.

This is great and something I see as an immensely valuable tool for social measurement. It'd be nice to integrate Facebook into the mix as well, showing fan counts and competitive analysis. As a potential customer, I see this as valuable as

Seems to be loading very slow for me right now in Gmail. Maybe the Techcrunch attention has it crawling?

I wish there was a way to enter MY site and have it regularly take a snapshot weekly, monthly, yearly. That way, a year from now I could have a record of what things looked like and what happened over that year, without having to think abou

I'm a bit new to the SEO software market. What does Ginza offer that is different / unique versus something like SeoMOZ?

Usually when this happens to me, I close Dropbox (quit the application), wait a few minutes, then re-open it. Typically that fixes the slow speed and ramps it back up to capacity (I'm on Verizon Fios).

I left a six figure job voluntarily to do my own thing. Before I left, I was working late nights, sometimes until 2 or 3am. I liked the job, but was unfulfilled. Fast forward three years, and I am now on my own in a successful startup that

If you're looking to build something really simple, I wouldn't touch Magento with a ten foot pole. My recommendation? Look into FoxyCart, CS-Cart, Shopify, BigCommerce, Interspire - in that order. You will be very happy.

If security is a priority, I would recommend FireHost ( http://www.firehost.com ) without hesitation. They have been great for us to work with. I also recommend Wiredtree - which has been flawless for us over the past 2 years.

Why isn't Bitgravity in this mix? We use them and love them - and they also power Vimeo, CollegeHumor, and other huge sites. We have used them for images and video content and could not be happier.

Rackspace - bar none - for anything mission critical in a dedicated setup. I've used Softlayer, HostMySite, and LiquidWeb before in an attempt to save a few bucks a month, but regretted it almost immediately. In multiple cases of downtime,
