Texas is pretty far south. If you use https://pvwatts.nrel.gov/pvwatts.php there is about a 9% increase in total output over the year for optimal tilt(27 vs 0) but then you also need to space modules. There is hourly data i

This seems much easier to clean? A gigantic flat slab is pretty easy to automate something vs disconnected racks.

IMO this reeks of data-driven myopia. Slow bleeds to goodwill are incredibly difficult to properly capture into a model. Anything that isn't measured - or poorly measured - is liable to be traded off for what is measured.

Interesting, just went to the channel to look and the comments are full of people promoting a scam amazon crypto: https://amazonwt.com/ Interesting to see the scams play out in real time. To be clear it looks like bots on h

Seems like there is a lot of higher margin opportunity than residential available in business/gov. I see they have a business at 500/mo. Wonder what the breakdown is. Judging from their land coverage they are still a bit off doing

Do people find this uncomfortable? I usually leave it at 78 during the day, 74 at night. I will sometimes turn it down if I'm doing something physical outside on a hot day and I want to come back to somewhere cool. Not trying to save m

History has proven that making people feel bad about themselves is a very effective marketing tactic. Algorithms shove skinny, tan and pretty in our faces while advertising things to make us skinny, tan and pretty. Unconstrained by morals w

As a counterpoint there also used to be jobs and careers in other places that have largely been centralized into bigger metropolitan areas I do agree somewhat though. Be interesting to see how remote work shakes out in the long run. I think

This is really interesting. I've had similar questions? For vision I'm an "aphant" but I think also for touch/smell/hearing? I could never replay a song in my head. At best I could repeat a few catchy lyrics. C

I get very geometric/fractal visualizations. Like the best music visualizer. A frame rate of infinity. Very mandlebrot/julia. But nothing "real". On LSD at least. My dreams I think I can visualize? It's sort of hard

Can people imagine this? To solve these I develop a set of rules about the relationship between sides. Like if there is an X on one side then there must be a T adjacent to it and so on. Then I try to eliminate as many answers as possible an

I don't daydream but I "self-narrate" - probably to a fault. Like I'm not seeing anything. I'm just sort of writing a novel where I'm the main character if that makes sense? It's similar to how I remember

I think the bigger issue is what % of content is being filtered through a recommendation algorithm that has been trained on probably very similar metrics. Even if there are 6-20-100 companies if they are all using similar metrics, ad clicks

Seems like there has been pretty heavy asset inflation across the board for the past ~decade and investors are desperate for returns. I mean it seems to make sense, the ultra cheap money isn't really available to most people. Most peop
