Maybe I jumped the gun there and got a bit sidelined by semantics. In my mind, theism is a necessary but not sufficient condition for religion. Ritual, on the other hand, intersects with religion and irreligion (again, in my mind). I saw an

How is Claritask doing today? Is it making enough money to support you? I'd love to have a lifestyle business and I have ideas but I'm afraid to commit the time.

I not sure if you are just trolling here, but reading the article it seems clear that the author has a point beyond the usual signifier-signified semiotic crisis. The author ends by musing about mental diseases being described by coordinat

What does 'in geometry' mean in this context? There are numbers which are not constructible with compass and straight-edge constructible but which are constructible by other means (e.g. 2^(1/3) is origami constructible).

I teach on a 'gifted programme' and I will read this article, but could you say what you think are the most important findings in the article? I'm always interested in what other people take away from literature.

The alloy of anger and passion has become a bit of a trope in cuisine so I think some people just ham it up. There's also a trickle down effect (if an assistant does something wrong and passes it to a commis chef who doesn't notic

I worked as a chef for 8 years. I might have some ideas about this. In the below, I will use the pronoun 'he' purely for convenience and may swear a bit. When you're in a brigade, you're called 'a chef', but th

So, I think you're confusing 'probability' with 'cardinality of the set of successful outcomes' (let's call that k). If k is proportional to the size of the company (n, say), then you are absolutely right that

Love Nuxt. I use it for all sorts of things. Pair it with something like Vuetify and you can start writing business logic almost immediately. Never had a problem with speed.

I prefer a = w * h. I actually wish I didn't, but I studied a mathematics undergrad, and when I see the token 'area' it means, to me, the concept of area, whereas 'a' is a variable which represents the quantity in c

I was surprised at this passage, too. It begins by quoting the Oxford dictionary, which always raises alarm bells that the author's ideas on the topic are inchoate, but the wording of the 'racing' example is an unforgivable b

We know that FLT is true because Andrew Wiles has proven it. We don't know that RH is true. We have strong reasons to believe it is true since we have discovered directly a large number of roots on Re(z) = 1/2 and none anywhere el

I do a lot of the same things you mention here, but I decided to write a python lib with jinja templating. I found my knowledge of python and its nice syntax to allow loads of use cases that I probably would have given up on in latex alone.
