I find his "points" muddied by all of the extra words. His typical essay starts out on a tangent and then slowly winds through some analogies tenuously related to a main theme. Sometimes I don't mind the long-winded essays, but I think almo

Pretty cool. The cynic in me wonders if this could be a clever viral campaign by dropbox to get cheap online ads.

I was thinking the same thing. The other three have their hand in software, hardware, and media. Facebook still seems like just a media company.

Maybe we are disagreeing about different things. If someone invested money for 20% of a company they would still have some percentage of ownership after dilution. If someone invested time and skill then they should also retain some diluted

What about the reverse situation? Someone invests money into a startup in exchange for 20% of the value. If they stop further investing does that mean the money was not fundamental to getting the company off the ground?

Let's be realistic. Many applications have 24 hour availability, but almost every application I've worked on was for people in the US and core usage was sometime between 7AM and 9PM. If it only takes 5 minutes to deploy your app why not do

I can't believe there are people who think it was ok for Stallman to call Jobs evil. It was a tasteless attack without merit even in better times.

While he might not have asked for the publicity, it would be very easy for Stallman to issue a public apology.

If his experiment works out moderately well I could see a great consulting business in training and self-improvement. If it works out really well he is now a professional athlete which seems pretty cool too. I really wonder how being an ama

"I could easily live without the day-glo rampage of add-ons whenever I try to register a new domain, but I've gotten used to it." That is the worst part from my perspective. I use namecheap and it is very simple and fast to manage my domain

I'm not disagreeing with that, but the executive branch has some influence. Especially when the vice president casts tie-breaker votes in the senate. Vetos also need a larger majority to override and congress is often split down the middle.

What do you mean by propaganda graphics? That article seems pretty factual to me. If we can't have articles like that then it seems like you are arguing for a public informed solely by talking-head soundbites. Also, the president has some i

He made it pretty clear that he was quitting "that job" and going to study more bioinformatics. As far as I know Google doesn't do a lot of bioinformatics. Peppered with a couple of his midlife crisis comments it seems like a fair assumptio

I agree with the above, but it is also ok to just look at other people's work at the event and not talk to anyone if you don't feel like talking at first.

I don't agree that youtube is about amateur content. Sometimes my friends upload interesting videos to youtube or someone links to a mildly amusing clip like MyDrunkKitchen. However, most of the youtube links I see go to professionally prod

Posting pictures on the internet is far different from lynching someone. The court system and government should treat people as innocent until proven guilty. Private citizens have a lower responsibility. At no point did the original poster

I agree slightly with your point, but I most adults have hundreds hours of time spent doing new activities that they didn't get to do as a child. So if someone "discovers" painting in their 20s or 30s maybe it is feasible to be a great pain

I agree with this. How-to articles showing ways to use the layers would increase the value. The short tutorial on your support page is nice - maybe you could expand that further and make the link more prominently say it is a howto/tutorial.

It's kind of ironic that the GOP is pushing for changes to make our legal system closer to Europe's, but they are quick to vilify similar attempts regarding health care.

Do you think you were paid a "fair" salary to begin with? If you worked somewhere for 40 months and didn't get paid for 2 of those months then it's like you were paid 5% less than the agreed salary (I realize this isn't totally accurate in

From a player's perspective I think you are right that part of the fun is physically rolling dice. If you run one of these games as a GM you might tire of the romantic dice rolling.
