I think it'd be nice to see more communication, but what kind of communication? As ecopoesis mentioned, https://webkit.org already exists, so I think what this post fails to do is actually say what it's looking for specifically. Is it con

That all sounds far less organized than what we work with in my classes. It's mostly open, but you shouldn't interrupt folks, nobody should need to shout, and you should give room for others to speak. I've only seen people shift around when

The issue here is that there is no lecture -- it's workshop. Everyone in the classroom is participating, so to be the student constantly checking a cellphone alienates you somewhat, and you end up distracting most of the class from the work

You click the 'Edit forked style' link on the 'Display' page and customize the CSS from there. Does that answer your question?

This is fantastic. I started out learning from flipcode's articles years ago, and they were always great (I keep a personal mirror of the articles just to go back and read now and then). I'm just really glad to see a site that was so import

I'm in roughly the same camp as you here. I depend quite a bit on things generally working in a Unix-y sort of way. Not necessarily everything, but POSIX compliance is pretty important for me, since it means I can rely on a wealth of softwa

re: A terminal: probably fine, albeit small. Running at 2880x1800 without any scaling isn't terrible, but it would quickly drive your eyes to escape your skull. I can't say for sure what would happen under Linux given only a terminal, but I

I did this a little bit earlier, very politely asking them to delete my account and why I wasn't happy with the direction they went with the site. I haven't yet heard back from them yet, but it's probably a slow process. I don't like that t

I think his point is that he would love to be the naysayer, play devil's advocate, but in this case believes the product will survive despite a tendency to view social networks cynically.

I've actually been looking for something like this, and Moom seems to do the trick. It's got some nice customization, so I can at least set my own shortcuts for different areas of the screen. It works really well since I don't like straight

I will take the sensationalist title as a good sign the post isn't actually worth reading. I'd rather have an honest and informative title, which doesn't necessarily mean boring, than what is an outright lie. Thanks for providing that quot

Why not? If it's fun and harms no one, I don't see why one shouldn't create "small useless apps" in her spare time. If anything, you should pat folks like that on the back for trying new things (assuming they're new to the person making t

I sure missed a lot of those, but at least I got Intercal right. That's probably a bad thing, now that I think about it.

When I consider the way their articles seem to consist mainly of link bait without substance, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them disappear within that timeframe. I could swear I remember a time when folks would point to Forbes as a

Overall, my biggest problem here is that George Colony (the author) doesn't point to any specific evidence for why Apple should decline now. It will decline, and I think it's fair to grant that as an inevitability, but I'm not sure Jobs's

I use Sparrow on OS X. Had it for about a year, I think. It's really quite pleasant to use.
