I didn't spot Clojure here yet: (->> [1,2,3,4,5] (filter #(-> % (mod 3) (= 1))) (map #(* % %)) (reduce +)) #( ... ) is an anonymous function, arrows are threading macros: https://cloju

In my bubble Clojure has taken off quite nicely, many companies are solving hard problems with it and you get to enjoy all the libraries of the Java eco-system :) But it is indeed a very different approach to programming than let's say

Approximate facts from Finland: Bachelors program is 3 years and Masters (which basically everybody does) is extra 2. There was a major shift from direct subsidies to government-backed loans on 2017 but first I'll refer to the benefits

Well in Finland you get a discount if you have committed crimes before. There are cases when a person had raped someone and during a leave from the jail he had raped an other victim. The jail term for the second offence is less than usual d

I have found great joy with Clojure (runs on JVM) which doesn't constrain you from side-effects, it just encourages you to do them on an appropriate functions. And all values are immutable by default. Debugging pure functions is quite

As a person with at least basic knowledge of physics and computer simulations I find it odd that even basic atoms are so difficult to simulate. Maybe this just shows my ignorace on the topic :)

Which programming languages and IDEs have you used? Are they efficient at solving your problems or do you need pay tons on attention to every tiny detail? I'm hinting towards functional programming ;)

Sadly law makers aren't technical people, I don't think they have a clue on how to implement such system. Basically only big players can afford the R&D effort. I think EU should build this as a free online service to which you

I would strongly recommend Clojure, which is dynamically but strongly typed LISP on JVM. The best part is the REPL, which is only true if you use a well-tuned IDE. Personally I still use NightCode but there are many others out there. For me

You could hash the ips before storing them, but as there aren't that many IPv4 addresses wit would be trivial to revert. However if you use bloom filters to calculate "distinct counts" then I think you cannot reliably re-cons
