As above, I have VMs on OVH public cloud[0]. Rancher can also offers an OpenStack driver which is what OVH Public Cloud runs on, but I have not yet tried that. I've found certain things quite buggy with their cloud offering but the pri

That's cool. I've actually just moved from ESXI hosts to OVH too. How are you handling persistent storage? I have opted to not "dockerize" Postgres for example after reading horror stories.

Why does Rancher[0] never get mentioned on here? I've been using it the last few months and it's been great. It handles everything for you without the huge learning curve. I'm using Gitlab.com pipelines also and it means my C

My product is built with C# .NET too. However I'm not bought into the Microsoft platform at all. Example: Nancy[0] for REST APIs, Postgres for persistence (with Dapper[1] of course), ElasticSearch and so on. Recently turned off my last

I'm in a similar boat but using Project Rider on OSX. It generally works without issue but is far from ready for general use. How does VSCode deal with things like running unit tests?

I returned my 7+ as it's barely any different to the 6S+, and at £719 here in the UK for the 32GB model it was hard to stomach. £819 for 128GB model is now almost Macbook territory in my mind. I had barely any free space on the 32GB mo

I found quite a good use for mine. I'm sure I could achieve it with something like DD-WRT, but it was fun: Installed Debian on a Pi 3 Model B. Put the device in a case[0]. Installed dnsmasq[1] to manage local DHCP/DNS. Forwards to

nginx reverse proxy would be relatively simple. There's even some docs straight from the asp.net site[0]. It's a bit of a paradigm shift from the "old" way but it's quite a normal thing to do with Node.js for exampl

From my limited experience using Java after C# 6. Type inference, C# properties (vs. getters/setters in Java), generics are way better, and of course Linq. Java 8 makes this a bit better with lambdas but it's still a bit of a pain
