While I agree with you that years ago (>3) a Hackintosh wouldn't be a wise choice to go for a productive environment, a LOT has changed. I am running mine since 2 years now and am on the newest Mac OS version, most of the time the A

Why is bare metal so "uncool"? I am certain that a lot of companies don't need the flexibility provided by AWS. I can understand that you don't need additional staff by going with the AWS route, but in the end you get a

Why are you looking for another provider? Just use Lets Encrypt ;-)

The Mac OS client is COMPLETELY BROKEN. Message orders change constantly, if you type fast the messages are jumping up and down constantly which is annoying since the order sometimes gets messed up. Also the background colours of messages a

"Even better, you can do all of this at no extra cost. SSL/TLS certificates provisioned through AWS Certificate Manager are free!" Great!

Just No. They use HLS, which can be viewed native in Safari. On every other site embedding works in HTML5 and obviously it also works on the Twitch site.

Doesn't work for me. Safari 9, no Flash.

That's really nice actually. I couldn't try it out but if it works I think it's really cool. I just don't know what to think about my Apps being more and more simply websites instead of Native.

As long as there is no direct PostgreSQL support, Meteor is no viable option anyways.

There is still enough work and projects being built using Rails. Of course NodeJS stole a lot of thunder from Ruby/Rails, but everyone who has been smart either went back to Ruby/Rails or moved on to Go (if performance was an issu

Well, you need a javascript runtime, eg you could install nodejs, that's what the error says. I agree that it might be confusing as a rails beginner, but Rails uses it to convert CoffeeScript files and for minifying and merging all JS

If I use Safari on that site it's just downloading from your server, right? Since Safari doesn't support WebRTC.

Ditch the iPhone for Android, uhm, ok, apart from the fact that Android = Google. You could use Thunderbird with GMail, so that argument doesn't make any sense. etc. etc.

Don't forget that SSD and Bandwith is at additional charge at AWS, so it will be a lot more expensive than DO, Linode or Vultr. (Also doesn't include Support costs, if you need it)

Comparing Browsers based on their feature set is a pretty bad idea imo. For example it probably has a reason why Safari doesn't support WebRTC, and it's not that they are too lazy to implement it. Is Safari a bad choice for Mac us

I personally wouldn't use Dropkick, simply because you bash your "competitor" (not really since you charge 30 bucks for a simple CMS) in the first headline.
