Every legitimate use case for AI. It is a way to mark legitimate work done using AI tools as inferior. This might be acceptable if it prevented or limited nefarious use cases. But it does no such thing. It doesn't help at all on tha

It doesn't mean a worse model. It may mean that at certain points in time now which tend to be very short lived, but model advancement will hit diminishing returns and at that point models will become commoditized. But even now which

Actually no it just makes me use a different model. My uses are not nefarious at all, although it's fine for you to assume so. There are real, legitimate reasons why SynthId is actively harmful that do not involve deceiving or manipu

Commodities are more price sensitive than SaaS by definition.

I don't think commodity means what you think it means. Protein bars are not indistinguishable from one another, there exists significant differences between various products.

What I am saying is that discord as a product has an inferior experience for small communities because it tries to cater all. It's just not a fun product to use.

My thought is that it just doesn't make sense to have a product which serves both communities of 1,000+ people and a small group of <50 friends. You end up making far too many compromises. I used to just engage with my friends. No

Discord has the momentum but overall I just find the experience awful. It would be nice to use anything else at this point. Joining a server with greater than a handful of people is just a nightmare and practically unusable.

At that cost I'd just buy some GPUs and run a local model though. Maybe a couple RTX 6000s.

It's fun managing a bunch of inexperienced juniors when there are no consequences (aka the infamous personal projects). It's a lot more stressful when it matters.

I agree, I love the Steam Deck and Linux a lot including gaming. I'll also be a day one purchaser of the steam box if I am able.

That's not what I am saying, sorry if it was confusing. The parent was implying that if it doesn't run a game just pick a different game. But I was pointing out that isn't always an option, and some times you just want to pl

I run both operating systems. But I have to say it either runs the game you want to play or it doesn't. This is especially true if you play games with friends.

I own an induction stove, and overall really enjoy it. But there are certain types of cooking it's not nearly as well suited to (still possible, but not as good). One of those is cooking on a wok. But really it comes down to heating.

Blaming this on Ballmer is a serious stretch, I can't see how you would come to that conclusion. Developers Developers Developers was for the launch of .NET and it brought us a platform that is still considered cutting edge 25 years

Yes but ideas exist like FairTax which directly address this issue in some fashion. It's easy to come up with reasons why something won't work, it is a lot harder to find solutions.

They might still spend $600 on 10 more games though. Or spend it on a subset of the games they pirated because they want to support the developer. Who knows.

Does it need to be as complicated as a new format? Or would it be enough to not allow any scripting in the provided SVGs (or stripping it out). I can't imagine there are that many SVGs out there which take advantage of the feature.
