The general rule of thumb is that if a trading strategy is successful, you won't find it in a book. Books are useful for understanding the general concepts, but I use books in the negative sense (if I find the idea in a book, I immediately

In the spectrum of inappropriate things to say, this is far from the worst. My point was that 'Fuck you, Jason' is never appropriate. I don't think he would have been hell banned had he said 'screw you' or just omitted the three words, bu

#node.js on freenode is pretty solid and, for such an active channel with many noobs, essentially troll-free.

Is there any scale (like xlarge) where you are effectively the only VM on a particular physical machine (thereby obviating the issue with the small instances)?

I'm terribly confused here. "continue to run Ubuntu in a VM on the MacBook with its relaxed HDD" Did he try with bootcamp on Ubuntu 12.04 (the LTS version)? I just tested on two macbook pros (mid 2011, early 2013) and both seem fine.

It's easy to blame the tools. It's harder to admit that you don't understand the tools you are working with.

I posted this the last time there was a discussion about CSV and excel: If you are generating the CSV yourself, save yourself some agony and just wrap the text in ="" $ cat test.csv ="12.34567890124312341234123412341234",="1-5"

Recent versions of excel do warn you if formulas omit adjacent cells. I agree with your sentiment to some extent but with excel 2011/2013 you have to actively suppress these warnings.

I'm reminded of a similar situation involving treasury secretary Timothy Geithner and TurboTax. He initially blamed the software for underpayment of tax (or at least he said he used turbotax) and later admitted that he fudged the numbers.

I don't disagree, but that's only applicable for node.js code. There's no tradition of using package.json for fortran or C. Although I do like the overall theme of developing a language-agnostic way of indicating licenses (because, as also
