Some of these I think are valid points, the update process needs to be improved. Currently it feels like the WP7 update process sits somewhere between iOS and Android, all the problems of both and the benefits of none. Smaller updates relea

I have a small WP7 application I submitted around launch, I'd done Silverlight development before so it was pretty easy to jump in. I built it over about six weeks of occasional evenings and started selling pretty much immediately. I've rel

I think part of the reason the web beat native desktop apps was the notion of the app being "available everywhere". This certainly made web based mail clients the initial killer web apps. Native mobile apps don't suffer from this as much gi

Agreed, given the home page says "featured courses" I'd love to be able to see the other courses available without having to sign up.

Haha that was certainly the lesson I took from that, however the market I'm in (Auckland, New Zealand) they're a necessary evil sometimes.

I started to include links to my website on my resume as it contained a lot more interesting work and code than my day job. It didn't seem to be helping, however it turned out that most recruiters were scrubbing it from the version they pas

Agreed, I started used the Zune software when I purchased a WP7 and really enjoy the software, especially when compared to itunes. Great products but unfortunately failed for other reasons.

Damn, literally as I read this article my mind was working on how quickly I could build a Windows Phone 7 app to take advantage of this. Turns out not quick enough. I think this is the best way to approach an API for non VC backed start ups

As a fellow Kiwi all of that really hits the mark, although I'm not involved in iOS development most of it still applies. Especially the attitude towards our own work. Would love to be able to go to the MIX conference this year but really c

Agreed, and one part of the Java / C# comparison is that C# also gives type-checking at run time.

It seems to be a very old comparison, missing generics from both and lots of other features, been a long time since I've done any Java but it seems like its C# 1.0 compared to Java 6?
