My personal website/webring. It's mostly a collection of ideas I've been mulling over and holding off on due to not being able to iterate on them fast enough. Nowadays thanks to AI, a lot of these a short errands so it's

It has to be said that Colorado is a state known for outdoors culture and people are naturally more inclined to be physically active with more exuberant nature outings nearby.

What do you mean by music stopping for Cursor? Almost every single developer I run into is transitioning/transitioned to it today. It's stinks like the new VS Code.

this is my only quip with atuin, despite my endorsement in a sibling comment. this should absolutely be opted-out BY DEFAULT. not defaulted to opt-in. if you have someone outright cloning your entire project just to skip this opted-in priva

I've been using Atuin for at least a year and a half, and I think it's definitely the tool I'd been looking for the most in my entire dev career. It has made me much more confident with my hazy memory. Before it I'd stru

Billing. Subscription plans and invoices in micro services architecture. I honestly hate it at this point and would appreciate any reading on the topic. It's been a grueling 4 months of back and forth with a lot of mission critical bus

Good luck with a quick git diff spanning thousands of lines. AI code can be notoriously verbose and over engineered. Of course you want to be in control.

I've been wrestling with this for a good long while as well. A lot of business-y, corporate weight on my shoulders from $DAYJOB piling up and feeling out of touch with code at times. I'm glad I still manage to have moments like OP

Are you really assuming most of your docker base images won't be AI generated spit in a few months from now? All maintainers are catching on.

Yeah I had my fair share of pride around typing super fast back in college, but the algorithms were super annoying to think through. Nowadays I get wayyy more of a kick typing the most efficient Lego prompts in Claude.

It resulted in one less developer, but you're still using that tool, right? Didn't a human (you) point the LLM at this problem and think this through? That fired developer now has the toolset to become a CEO much, much easier than

I do! I posted this a while down below but I guess the way the algorithm here works it got super deprioritized. Full repost: I can chip in from my tech consulting job where we ship a few GenAI projects to several AWS clients via Amazon Bedr

As a senior-ish programmer who struggled a lot with algorithmic thinking in college, it's really awe-inspiring. Truly hit the nail on the head there. We HAD no business with these side-quests, but now? They're all ripe for the tak

LLMs are not necessarily a waste of time like you mention, as their application isn't limited to generating algorithms like you're used to. When you consider LLMs to be building blocks in bigger, more complex systems, their potent

This is a real thing. LLMs are tools, not humans. They truly do bring interesting, bigger problems. Have people seen some of the recent software being churned out? Hint, it's not all GenAI bubblespit. A lot of it is killer, legitimatel

This might be a simple question to answer but I couldn't find it from skimming these docs: what LLMs can this hook to? Do I plug an actual API key like 90% of tools? Where's the AI compute part coming from?

How can you say "does it really" matter to something as stupid as the chargig port under the mouse? It's in-your-face, outrageously bad design and very much in line with "not just works". It's one thing to pay

I had mixed results and was left ultimately disappointed. On a MacBook Pro m3 microphone, it would often cut me off and not understand what I was saying, or feel really unnatural overall. This turned out to be quite funny, but I would be ve
