One of the aspects of data munging is visualization, which is much easier in R with ggplot. Matplotlib is painful and always requires more than double the code to accomplish the same thing.

Not necessarily overkill; maybe they wanted to learn how to use neural networks and this was a good project to do that. Simple is best for professional projects, but for personal projects like this it's better for you to explore someth

I've almost fully switched from Jupyter to RMarkdown after discovering RMarkdown supports Python. And about publishing / rendering, do you not like RPubs?

I understand your pain around Neo4j's past import capabilities; when I found it around two years ago I had a lot of trouble with this as well. But with the new neo4j-import tool [0] that's no longer an issue. I've imported ~

Just installed HERE and searched for the hotel I'm about to stay at while in Casablanca. It dropped a pin that was wrong by about 30 miles. Neat idea, but clearly not reliable.

That only applies when the relationship implies bi-directionality. On Twitter, me following you doesn't necessarily mean that you follow me. Thus both directions are persisted in the model. If this were on Facebook, however, you would

This is my experience as well. Often I'll be the most knowledgeable person at our booth (for Neo4j) and people always look to my male coworkers when asking questions. And one of my personal favorites: "So I'm guessing you

You should also think about catering to data scientists. It's not an option in the "specialty" dropdown and you don't have languages like Scala, R, Julia, or MATLAB.

Can't wait to try this out. I've been using Disqus on my Jekyll + GitHub pages blog and I don't like it much. I changed the URL of one of my posts once and it was a huge pain to get the comments migrated over.

Hey, just got it all set up. Seems very neat! I have a question: how can I view all issues? It seems I can only view issues without a milestone and issues in a milestone separately.

Just downloaded it, I love the logo! I like it so far. I think the main thing it needs is tabs, though. I usually work on several notebooks at once, so having a new Pineapple window for each of them is not ideal.

I like what OkCupid does. If you have an ad blocker enabled, they explain in the space where an ad would normally be that while OkCupid is free, it runs on ad revenue, with a link to their donation page.
